Our Chilcuague (Heliopsis longipes) tincture offers a much stronger effect. The Toothache Plant features unique flowers resembling yellow olives with a deep red center, giving it a distinctive look. In northern Brazil, fresh leaves of the Toothache Plant are added to salads for their unique flavor. Cooking diminishes its taste, so it is primarily used for its nutritional value and numbing property. The leaves are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, lutein, and magnesium.
