Upon acquisition, our Mapacho Maso maintains its prime condition for several months when stored vacuum-sealed in a refrigerator or freezer. Once opened, it should be carefully unwrapped and preserved in paper, away from direct sunlight to retain its moisture and freshness. Should the outer layer dry out, a simple mist of distilled water revitalizes the leaves, making them pliable and fresh once more. For optimal humidity, encase the moist Rustica in a plastic bag briefly, for no more than two days, before transitioning it back to a dry paper wrap.

It's crucial to avoid storing the Mapacho Maso in non-vacuum-sealed plastic bags at room temperature, as this environment is conducive to mold growth. Paper storage under cool conditions is recommended to preserve the integrity and essence of this sacred, traditional product.
