Introduction - Katukina.US Partner Spotlight Series: Dewata Studio
Some offerings immediately catch your eye. You pick them up, turn them around in your hands, notice the wood, the metalwork, the little details... and wonder who made this?
That is one of the reasons we created our Partner Spotlight series.
At Katukina.US, we are blessed to work with artisans, tribes, families, medicine makers, and creators from around the world. Behind every offering are real people, places, traditions, and stories. We believe those stories deserve to be shared.
For our next Partner Spotlight, we travel to the island of Bali, Indonesia, to meet Sang Made Budiasa and the artisans behind Dewata Studio.
Dewata Studio began by crafting classic two-piece wooden Kuripes and, over time, evolved into creating the beautiful and distinctive pieces you see today — bringing together carefully selected woods, detailed metalwork, their own techniques and designs, and elements of Balinese culture.
What we especially appreciate is that behind all that beauty are still human hands. Their pieces are made by skilled Balinese craftspeople specializing in woodworking and precious metals, helping preserve these skills while supporting local artisans and sharing a little of Bali's spirit and cultural heritage with the world.
We believe that knowing where an offering comes from and the hands that brought it into existence is what makes all the offerings at Katukina.US so special to us and, hopefully, will be to you as well.
Through our Katukina.US Partner Spotlight, we invite our community to step closer to the people behind our offerings, to learn more about their story and the intentions behind what they create and what Katukina.US offers.
So, for this Partner Spotlight, we invite you to meet the people behind the pieces and discover a little more about Dewata Studio.

Our Wooden Kuripe Collection reflects the heart of Dewata Studio. Every piece is handcrafted from carefully selected woods with patience, care, and intention. We hope each creation carries positive energy and a genuine connection to the hands that made it.

Every piece is made by hand, not by machines. We carefully select each wood and work closely with skilled Balinese artisans, allowing every creation the time and attention it deserves.

We are dedicated to preserving traditional Balinese craftsmanship while supporting local artisans and sharing handmade creations that honor culture, quality, and mindful craftsmanship with the world.

One of the things we love most about these Partner Spotlights is getting to look beyond the finished offering and remember the people, places, and hands behind what we carry. A Kuripe or Tepi may travel thousands of miles before eventually finding its way into your hands, but it carries a little of that story with it.
For Dewata Studio, that story begins in Bali with carefully selected materials, skilled local artisans, and a dedication to keeping traditional craftsmanship alive while continuing to evolve and create something uniquely their own.
We invite you to explore the **Dewata Studio Kuripes and Tepis at Katukina.US and discover the piece that speaks to you.
Thank you to Sang Made Budiasa and the entire Dewata Studio team for sharing your craft, your creativity, and a little piece of Bali with our community.
We are grateful to have you as part of the Katukina.us family.
