Katukina.us is honored to act as a sacred bridge between esoteric, tribal, and spiritual wisdom keepers and seekers. From bone, bamboo, and wood-carved ceremonial tools to hand-woven textiles and tapestries to the master crafted ethnobotanicals and plant allies, each offering has a story. Yet even deeper, each offering has an artisan who is a partner of Katukina.us, and they also have a story and message that they want to share with the world about their work.
The Katukina.us monthly partner spotlight series is a chance for us to share the stories of the people and offerings that make up Katukina.US. Each offering on our website undergoes our quality and authenticity assessment to maintain our commitment that each offering is authentic and steeped in tradition. You won't find machine-made or mass-produced items on our website. This is because we work with tribes, communities, and master craftsmen (and craftswomen) directly to provide their offerings through our website.
Please enjoy our first article, introducing a partner we are proud to work with and making their offerings available on our website for our community.

PARTNER: Kupi Kumahu Hunikuï BRAND: Haux Love LOCATION: Brazil, Ituiutaba WEBSITE: www.hauxlove.com SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram (hauxlove)
What first called you to work with your craft (medicine, textiles, art, tools, etc.)? How has that journey shaped who you are today?
My first art was a Tepi at the village, I seen my cousin making one so I tried, once I seen the final result I like what I did. It transformed me into a better person because I am creating an art that will be a tool for healing. It has brought me greater responsibility, more creativity, and clearer direction in life, as it provides my financial stability for my home and mission. The medicines have shaped me through deeper study with each preparation, keeping my prayers strong yet more loving for the healing of the planet. 💛

When someone holds or works with one of your creations, what energy, experience, or message do you hope they receive?
I hope they receive the energy of healing and transformation, and that she feels the confidence and strength of the forest and the Yuxibu beings. This is my prayer.

Of the items we currently carry in the Katukina shop, which one feels most alive for you right now? What makes it special? What was the process of bringing it to life?
The hummingbird kuripe was a vision from my heart, bringing the breath of joy and agility, just like the hummingbird that flies above me when I am cutting the bamboo. The boa (jiboia) tepi with crystals came through a request from my mission partner. We create it aligned with the energy of the person who places the order, personalized with the strength of the boa and the strength of the one who will use this power tool.
Craft & Integrity:
What is one thing most people don’t understand about the time, intention, or sourcing behind your work?
People often don’t understand that everything I create is born from my own hands.
From harvesting the bamboo in the forest, to every line burned with the pyrography tool, every brushstroke on the canvases, to breaking down the tobacco and sifting the hapé at its precise point everything passes through me.
Nothing is industrial.
Nothing is rushed.
From the beginning to the end of my day, each creation is made with sung prayers, with joy, and with humility in my heart.
There is time, there is intention, there is presence. Each piece carries prayer, study, silence, and devotion.
It is more than an object it is a sacred process.

What are you currently building, protecting, or devoted to that you’d love our community to know about?
Right now, I am devoted to building and protecting a living bridge between the forest and the world.
Through Haux Love, we are creating more than crafts or ceremonies we are building a movement of ancestral remembrance and responsible healing. We are protecting the sacred knowledge of the forest, the medicines, the songs, and the tradition of working with our hands in prayer and integrity.
Every kuripe, every tepi, every preparation of medicine is created with intention, discipline, and deep respect for lineage.
Nothing is industrial.
Nothing is rushed.
Each piece carries devotion, study, and spiritual responsibility.
At the same time, we are building the foundation of the Haux Love Institute a physical and spiritual healing space dedicated to education, ancestral wisdom, and recovery support.
A core part of our mission is to serve individuals struggling with substance dependency, offering structured guidance, spiritual reconnection, discipline, and purpose rooted in nature and community.
Each piece purchased from Haux Love directly supports this greater mission.
Every handcrafted tool, every artwork, every medicine preparation contributes to the construction and sustainability of our healing center, initiatives and recovery programs.
When someone acquires one of our creations, they are not simply buying an object they are investing in cultural preservation, community healing, and the rebuilding of lives.
Haux Love is not just a brand.
It is devotion to the forest.
It is protection of culture.
It is rehabilitation through purpose.
It is love in action.
We are building something that will outlive us a legacy where healing, dignity, and ancestral wisdom walk together.
Haux.
