Medicine Wombyn 100% Raw Organic Cacao from Colombia.

Our Cacao is sourced from family owned and run farms in the countryside of regions of Colombia, South America. It is our mission to bring you only Cacao that is 100% pure and organic, free of any harmful pesticides or chemicals and supporting small, family operated facilities. We take quality control into our own hands, and from seed to packaging, it is our mission to do it in harmony and symbiosis with Pachamama.

Cacao or Theobroma is also known as the “food of the gods” and it is a healing gift to humanity. The first people recorded in history to utilize the cacao beans to make a chocolate drink were in Mesoamerica where the Cacao Tree grows abundantly.  The Mayans and the Aztec were known to utilize it as a form of currency in market transactions. Indigenous healers in Mayan and Aztec communities would use it to enhance their spiritual journeying, this tradition of using Cacao in ceremony is still prevalent in Western Guatemala and is expanding to various communities throughout the world. In modern science we now know that Cacao is a superfood, packed with a high volume of Magnesium, Calcium, iron, zinc, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, and is packed with Vitamins!

Cacao is known to bring about a heart-expansive journey and have a pleasant effect on consciousness causing feelings of oneness and connection to others, ourselves, and the cosmos. Cacao releases Oxytocin, also known as the “love hormone”, endorphins, serotonin, and brings about a sense of contentment, peacefulness, and child-like joy. Cacao is one of the only two foods on Earth that contains ‘Anandamide’, the “bliss” molecule. In ceremony, what makes for a truly transformative experience is the intention  we infuse into the medicina; And that is the great difference between drinking hot chocolate from the store, and ingesting a cacao brew in a ritualistic manner.

There is a great contrast between a chocolate candy bar and ceremonial grade Cacao physiologically speaking. Our Sacred Cacao has a higher quantity of the beneficial health-restoring, transformative, and psycho-active compounds such as theobromine, phenylethylamine, and anandamide than grocery store or even health food store cacao. These compounds contribute to "feel good" effects of Cacao by reducing brain fog, reducing fatigue, balancing the central nervous system, increasing serotonin, motivation and joy. The cacao we use in ceremony is only from the “Criollo” strain which is only found in Central and South America.
