Blend Profile:

Puyanawa Lourinho Hapé is a deeply grounding and spiritually cleansing hapé made from a unique combination of organic Moy from the Jurua region, Parica ash, and the mysterious Lourinho herb. While the exact scientific name of Lourinho remains unknown, it is a revered plant used by indigenous peoples in the region for its powerful ability to open the nasal passages, clear the spirit, and refresh the mind. The Parica ash adds strength to the blend, grounding the user and deepening the overall experience.

This hapé’s lush fragrance is immediately noticeable, working to clear the sinuses and awaken the senses. The effects are felt as a gradual sense of calming and mental clarity, perfect for deep spiritual work and meditation. Puyanawa Lourinho offers a unique connection to nature, helping the user center themselves in the present moment while cleansing both mind and spirit.

Brought to you by our close friend in Brazil, who exchanges directly with tribal communities, this Rapé is a rare and genuine offering from the heart of the Amazon. A must-have for collectors and those seeking a potent spiritual tool, Puyanawa Lourinho Hapé embodies the deep-rooted knowledge and traditions of the indigenous tribes.

About The Tribe

The Puyanawa tribe, like many others in Acre, suffered immensely during the rubber and caucho boom in the early 20th century. They were forcibly removed from their lands and made to work in the rubber extraction areas, resulting in the loss of their culture and language. However, with the demarcation of their territory, they have worked hard to reclaim their culture and language. The Puyanawa subsist mainly on agriculture and sell their produce to intermediaries for clothing, salt, and other necessities. In addition to farming, they still practice traditional activities such as trekking for game and raw materials.

The Puyanawa established the Poyanawa Agroextractivist Association of the Barão and Ipiranga in 1988, which played a vital role in demarcating their land and preventing invasions. The association also received financial support for various income-generating projects, including flour production and livestock breeding, and worked with UNDP and PPTAL to consolidate the physical demarcation of their indigenous land.
