Vibrational Essence:

  • Harmonizing & Positive: Infused with Shishitza herb to harmonize the body and attract positive thinking.
  • Gentle Clarity: Offers a gentle yet clear-headed experience, very friendly for newcomers to hapé.
  • Nature Connection: Facilitates a beautiful connection with the spirit of the jungle.

Blend Profile: Explore the rare and harmonizing essence of Kaxinawá Yapa Hapé, meticulously crafted by two hapé makers, sons of the main village shaman in Tarauacá, Acre, Brazil. This blend contains Shishitza herb, Yapa tree ash, and Moi, creating a green-grey hapé that is gentle on the sinuses. Its effects provide a subtle yet beautiful sense of relaxed clarity, ideal for those seeking a nature connection. Crafted under the guidance of a tribal elder Pajé, this blend supports the community's construction project of the medicine house, where they plan to produce natural oils from aromatic plants.

This Hapé comes through a friend who yearly travels through the forests of Acre, collecting the rarest varieties of Hapé from the tribes he visits.

About The Tribe

The Kaxinawa people, also known as the Huni kuin or "True Humans," are a prominent indigenous tribe in Acre state and Peru. They belong to the Pano linguistic tribes residing in the Brazilian and Peruvian Amazon regions, and comprise 42% of the indigenous population in Acre. Their name, "People of the Bat," was given to them by rival tribes. The tribe's leader is a highly respected shaman who advocates for his people through various organizations, including UNI/AC, ASKARJ, the Alliance of Forest Peoples, and the International Council on Human Rights.

Hapé, a traditional snuff made from different ingredients, is used by the Kaxinawa tribe for a variety of purposes. It can alleviate physical pain and sinus issues, as well as aid in mental healing when combined with chanting. Hapé is also believed to connect the tribe with the spirits of the jungle and has various effects, such as curing ailments, improving concentration, and enhancing hunting abilities.
